I'm a fan of having more civs available regardless, so that's been good value in and of itself. Wasn't a fan of apocalypse mode, personally, but Societies and shuffle have been on pretty much full-time. How is this for you guys? Do you guys have any hope for DLC that would add fundamental mechanics to regular games? But apart from the civs, the game modes really do not seem to be worth it to me. So my question is: Has it been worth it so far? For the past couple of months I haven't really been in a position in which I could buy the frontier pass without knowing what it is/does, though I do understand the thrill of seeing what you are going to get over the course of a year without having to pay for everything seperately. There isn't really a fundamental change to gameplay like in the other DLC's (or like in Gods & Kings or Brave New World for Civ V). From what I have seen of them, the game modes seem kind of gimmicky, something that you play a few times before going back to the 'normal' games.

The Frontier Pass includes new leaders and new civilizations and some game modes. I had been hoping for a DLC like Rise & Fall or Gathering Storms which really alters the core gameplay of every regular game (loyalty, governors, climate change, world congress) + adds a whole bunch of new civs.

When the Frontier Pass was announced I wasn't very enthusiastic.
